Community Cupboard GRAND OPENING

Join Wilderness Trails Zoo and the Birch Run Rotary Companion Club on July 31, 2026, for the grand opening of the Community Cupboard, a new 24/7 food pantry located near the zoo’s gift shop. The pantry will be available to anyone in need and stocked through ongoing community donations.

To help fill the pantry before opening day, Wilderness Trails Zoo is hosting a donation drive from July 24–31. Guests who donate three approved pantry items will receive one entry into a raffle for an animal encounter for two. The winner will be drawn during the first Friday Night Lights at the Zoo event on July 31.

Come celebrate the ribbon cutting, learn more about the Community Cupboard, and help us begin this new community resource with fully stocked shelves.

Suggested donations include cereal, pasta, rice, peanut butter, boxed meals, oatmeal, snack items, canned fruits and vegetables, soups, and other unopened, non-expired pantry staples.
